iPhone DotA AllStars

iPhone DotA Allstars, a game i will be dying to get for my iPhone. Not only i can play my favorite game on my pc, i will be able to play it on the go too! This is my dream and i hope someone will create this based on iPhone platform one day soon! Just soon brief introduction about DotA before sharing with my small idea for Allstars DotA iPhone.

DotA Background
Defense of the Ancients (DotA) is a customized map for the real-time strategy game Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos and its expansion, Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne. The company that created this game is blizzard and they have some serious popular games: diablo, warcraft3, starcraft2, world of warcraft (WoW).

This customized map is created using the "World Editior" within Warcraft 3and was further developed in warcraft 3 expansion - Frozen Throne. Many maps are created and many different version of DotA was created. The most popular map is DotA Allstars. Currently the main developer is done by "IceFrog". I have been playing this game since 5 years ago, that means i have been addicted to this game for so long. DotA Allstars has become so popular that it is recognized and even featured in worldwide tournaments like Blizzard Entertainment's BlizzCon and the Asian World Cyber Games (WCG).

To play DotA, you need to buy the Warcraft3 and the expansion Frozen throne. Places like Amazon, ebay, Walmart and even buy online in Blizzard Online Store. After which, you will go into the internet to download the latest FREE DotA map from sites like getdota as well as to download the latest drivers etc in the battlenet. That's all you need to play DotA Allstars online in the battlenet. You can even download dota ai for AI version to play on your own. AI heros can be set at your will - easy, normal or insane. There are alot of information in the net about dota heros, dota guides, dota items and dota build.

The objective of this customized map is to destroy the opponent team throne, with strong towers and moving creeps. There are two sides; the Sentinel and the Scourge. Each team will need to choose a hero and work as a team using different skills and tactics to kill your opponent team and fight through the strong defense. The players get to level up their hero build and buy hero items to compliment their abilities.

How to out DotA into iPhone? I have created the interface as per below.



The controls are in the left and right side of the iPhone screen. All the buttons for :Move, Stop, Attack and hero upgrades are placed on the left side. All the execution of the 4 skills are placed on the right side of the screen. Saying that, it means you need 2 hands to play this game with controls on both side. Next question is how to move? It will be quite difficult to keep pressing onto the small screen everything. What is special about iPhone? The ability to detect balance. The hero can be navigated using the balancing.

Whenever the hero can upgrade the level, just click on the upgrade and skills icon. Shopping can be easily. typically you will move near the items shops, click the desired shops and buy whatever with a click. Escaping the shop can be done easily with a esc icon. If you happen to purchase an ability item, just drag the item to the right to create an additional icon for the skills. You may also preset the skills using a hit shake of the iphone. Upon a hard shake, your hero will executive the ultimate skill. Why i suggest this move? The reason is that every split second counts and it means life and death in this real-time game.

Communication can be done high tech. Instead of typical in PC DotA, the communication will be done via voice. This will make the game more realistic and exciting. During the PC version, sometimes while typing, we are not able to play the game, therefore causing jeopardy to ourselves. Using voice communication, we can play with ease and continuously.

iPhone Game - Sushi Chain

This new iPhone Game called Sushi Chain is an interesting game whereby you get to be the chef of a sushi shop. In general, sushi chain is about a sushi bar which you have impatient customers. The task of this iPhone Game is to prepare the sushi fast enough before the customers leave and to maintain your reputation.

Simple game for this Sushi Chain right? The challenge in this game is be able to remember all the recipes of the growing sushi dishes you need to prepare fast. Whats more? You need to be fast to replenish your stocks which also takes sometime. Stock such as rice, seaweed, shrimps etc.

In case you might forget the recipe, there is a recipe book to refer to whenever you need it. Trust me, after play awhile, you can remember most of the recipe and prepare it fast. Remember to keep track of the sushi ingredients that runs out as fast as you prepare them.

Like typical Japanese culture, no food will be put to waste. There is a limitation of sushi dish to be placed on the conveyor belt. This cannot be undo or remove. Therefore if you might have placed too many trash on the conveyor belt, you have lesser places for the sushi. This will slow down your food preparation process. Instead of preparing the food in advance by 5 sushi dishes, you might only prepare 2 sushi dishes and have 3 trash dishes on the conveyor belt. The trash sushi will only remove by itself after sometime.

Sushi Chain can be a challenge on the later part of the game when customers are very impatient and the in and out flow of the customers becomes really fast. This can be really difficult as you might panic and create a lot of trash sushi or stocks runs out really fast. Remember the sushi dishes well and you can play it fast.

You can try out the sushi chain lite for a trial before buying the more challenging complete game. Have fun playing sushi chain.

iPhone Games - Word Scramble

I come to this fun yet interesting iPhone Game call Word Scramble. I have download this free game to try out. Wow this puzzle game is very close to the actual board game itself.

Looking at the name "Word Scramble", you understand that this is similar to the physical puzzle game that we have played before. Basically this iPhone game is finding as many words within this 4x4 grid in the time limit. Minimum length of the word is 3 and the longer the word, the more points you will get. Some useful grid if you manage to get is "S", "RE" and "ING". these are very useful to add onto any verbs to maximise your score.

Like most iPhone games, you can play this game LIVE with other online players. Challenge mode with your friend can be achieve by sending a board to your friend for them to win your score.

Playing this puzzle game can be done online or offline. Best of all, you can also play as a solo mode. Does all your friends need iPhone to challenge? No, you can choose to use Play n Pass mode. Define the number of players and you can start the game and pass to the next once your turn is up. Once everyone has finish this game; the results will show which player got the top score. As you play, you get to unlock achievements under your profile.

Will playing with learning together be good? Yes, not only you can play, you can also earn new words. After each game play, this iPhone game shows you the remaining words that you can find. While playing this game, i find out that my Hope this will explore you to more words.

This is an interesting and positive learning game. I even let my nephews and niece try and realised their vocabulary really needs improvement. Hope when they want to play my iPhone, i will make them play this game to improve their vocabulary. Striking two birds with one stone. For those who do not feel like cracking the brain, then you may consider not downloading this free game.

iPhone Games - Cartoon Wars

This is an interesting iPhone Games - Cartoon Wars. There are two side of the tribes and your side is a very simple cartoon like tribes. Objective is to send your troops to fight through the opponents and destroy their tower. You have a tower which you need to protect from your enemies.

In your tribe, you need to develop more advanced troops as your level of difficulty increases. You can used the earned money for the troops upgrade, newer troops, productivity of mana production. There is also tower turret upgrades like damages, shooting speed and even range. This is a very nice game if you like strategy and war. Thumbs up for this iPhone Game!

iPhone Games - Tap Tap Revenge

Tap Tap Revenge 3 is one hot iPhone game. Looks abit like the popular Guitar Hero and Rock Band. However like the name says, it is Tap Tap according to the music. Beside 3 buttons to tap, there is 3 movement - shake forward, left and right. Total moves is a 6 moves. There is also a two player option to challenge each other. On top of that, scores can be submitted online to see your ranking too.
Just the free Tap Tap Revenge version is already an addictive game. As a free game, one can already download tens of music challenges. Furthermore it comes in 5 levels from easy to extreme.
Online version is alot more challenges to fight back your opponents too.

iPhone Solar Charger

iPhone Solar Charger is one of the coolest gadgets that i come across! Given iPhone 3GS's hunger for power, solar power is the ideal continuous charging for our precious iPhone 3GS. Currently i have been using iPhone 3GS with my 3G and Wifi on 24/7. As such, my iPhone is using alot of energy. This high consumption of energy has caused my iPhone to use more than 50% battery energy by end of the day. Recharging everynight is a must for me. This iPhone Solar Charger will definitely solve my problem. A good gadget to get!

iPhone 3GS Singtel Registration

Some friends approached me about why i managed to get the iPhone 3GS from Singtel so fast. I guess the reason for getting the iPhone early is the Singtel store selected. I have chosen Golden Shoe for my Singtel store. Knowing that Golden Shoe Singtel Store is not as crowded as those in shopping mall, i guess the numbers of people choosing that store will be lower. For those who have not registered for iPhone 3GS and have seen this post, do register your iPhone from stores are less popular. And for those who may have registered, maybe you can try to contract the store via phone to ask about your iPhone stock.

Singapore iPhone Overwhelming Order

Incredible sales for iPhone 3GS in Singapore. It was so overwhelming that i can no longer order at Singtel stalls. I need to go online to place my INTEREST and not order. After one week after registration, finally i received a email "Select the hello! store to purchase your iPhone3GS" from Singtel Hello that i can register the Singtel shop to place my order. How many current iPhone 3GS owners and potential owners like me? I am wonder about the market share of iPhone 3GS in Singapore.

Dota Allstar 6.61 Map

Dota Allstars 6.61 has been released with 2 more characters - Batrider and Tauren Chieftain.
Batrider capabilities are very weak and does not have much disable prowess. Throughout my gaming, i have yet to see anyone using batrider. Definitely not recommended. Even as a supporting hero, this is one of the weakest among the intel based heros.
Tauren Chieftain is a very good early good and team work hero. Able to cast a spirit far away and cast a area stun and damage spell on both real hero and spirit hero, this hero is a good hero to play with. Any opponent facing this hero will have a tough time farming in the early stage. Also due to the area stun capabilities, during a team player, the cast of spirit in the midst of enemies, will not cause any danger to the team members. Having to cast area stun, the whole team can rush in for the kill immediately.
Extra thing is they have modified Razor. Ultimate has been changed to time limitation and no more fast attack (replaced by Plasma Field). I feel that he has been weakened and not so easy to use like before. Do rethink again if you wish to use razor.

Apple releases iPhone OS, SDK 3.1 betas to developers

Apple released on Tuesday new beta versions of the iPhone OS 3.1 firmware and the iPhone SDK 3.1 for developers. Lets hope this is a great improvement in the new OS.

Lately our team have been testing our site for all kinds of bugs. Alot of experience has been gain through this process. We even managed to "linked" up with Zazzle for our monetization of the game products. This was a painful process and it may not be perfect for now, but definitely useful for our users.
